There are only two ways to make an interesting picture.
Either shoot something no one has ever seen before, or shoot a creative composition of something people see every day.
Thanks to all the fantastic shooters that participated in my first outdoor workshop. I hope you had a great time! If you were at the workshop but I didn’t get your photos, please email me some of your favourites if you’d them to appear in this gallery. I’ve added a filter action to most of them – Topaz Psychedelic I think. There are some solid motion blur and silhouette photos – great job people!

I’m hosting a free, outdoor photography workshop in downtown Ottawa this Sunday. If you’d like to learn how to manually control your camera and purposefully select a creative composition, this is for you.
